Mammoth Trip July 2013

 Our Yearly Mammoth Trip with Mom and dad. The boys did lots of fishing with dad :)

 Went on a what we thought would be simple hike at Inyo Craters. The first two craters are no biggy, just walked to them but the 3rd crater was not worth it! But it was fun and so nice to get out in the nature

On the rim of the top of the mountain of the 3rd crater. Doesn't look steep at all but you had to crawl on your hands and knees to climb up. It was very slippery.

June 2013

 In June we took a mini family vacation to Mammoth. I managed to sneak the suitcase in the car without the boys knowing. When we told them we are going for a drive they asked where we were going and I told them it was a surprise! They didn't figure it out till we passed Ridgecrest! ha!  It was wonderful! Not many visitors in Mammoth during that time of year. Boys watching dad fish at Lake Mary.

Before June 22 you can drive down Red Meadows. I haven't been to Devils Post Pile since I was a kid! We also hiked down to Rainbow falls. What a beautiful Hike!

Last Day of School

First Day of School on Left and Last day of School on Right!! (Luke 1st Grade. Matt 5th Grade)  Can't believe Matthew will be a 6th grader and Luker a 2nd grade! Time has flown by waaay to fast! Slow down time!

Academic Scholar Awards

 Matthew received the Presidents Award for getting Straights A's all year long! So proud of our Smarty pants! He worked hard all year long and deserves this award! the Presidents signature is on it to!

And a Principles Award medal for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA all year!! Wahoo!! He's so proud of this one! He wears it alot :) As he should :) Gotta show off his hard work!!

70% of the 5th grade students made straight A's this year! That says alot about our wonderful teachers who put so much effort into our kids! Miss Sherrill has been such a blessing to Matthew! I hope Luke gets her in the future for a teacher! 

Blessed to have such a kind, hard working son. Sure do love this boy! 

Luke got straight A's as well but his class didn't give out awards like this. Prob cuz he is in the younger grade level. Proud of both my boys! Such smart kiddos like their daddy :)

Weekend in Riverside

 Beginning of May we went down to Riverside to celebrate Grandma Weidenkopf's Birthday. We had a wonderful time. Im so glad Justin got the night off so we could go. First we visited Grandpa Weidenkopf at Arlington Cemetery.

 Just a mile away was the Riverside Sheriff Academy where Justin went to in 2000-2001. This is where it all started :) They called it "the grinder".

We then visited Joe and Laura and got to see baby Rylee! Love that lil booger!  Uncle Justin holding his niece :)

Mom made Justin and Joe a bday cake so we sang to these knuckleheads! Such goofs! Crack me up!

Unfortunately my battery decided it wanted to die at Grandmas bday party!!! I was so mad! I got to squeeze out one picture with it. Here are the boys with Genevieve! Genevieve gave these boys the run around! she chased them and kissed and hugged them the whole time! it was hilarious! I loved it! The boys looked at me like "mom, why is this girl kissing and hugging me?!!! I just laughed!!! They had a great time with her. She made it fun for them. 

it was so nice seeing the family. It feels like its been forever seeing everyone. Life is just so busy and it was nice to get away and visit! So nice to see Erin come visit from Kansas, and Dave and Lisa from Washington! Love the Weidenkopf family! Always a great time visiting the aunts and uncles and cousins! the destination was absolutely beautiful!! and the food was outstanding! Hope it wont be months and or years to see family again. Love and miss you all!! and Happy Birthday Gma Weidenkopf!!!

Rescue Training

 Air Support Unit did a rescue training with the City Fire Department at Panorama Park over the bluffs. It was absolutely the coolest thing we've ever seen!!

These were just a few of the fire trucks.... eventually there were approx 15 fire trucks!

Love watching my man do these spectacular things in his job! ♥ makes me so proud. The boys said to me at one point "dads famous!" hahhaha! not exactly kiddos but it felt like it with the huge crowd watching him train wondering what's going on! :0)
