AAhhhh!! my kids are growing up to fast! Today is a pretty big day! My big 4th grader and Kindergartener! Where has the time gone! Their such handsome lil guys. Thank goodness they got their daddy's genes :) Weidenkopf men are so handsome!
Would you just look at how much he's grown up! He's a young man!
Woogs! He has been waiting for this day to come! He jumped out of bed and put on his clothes! Soo excited! He is so ready for school :)
Sitting at his desk. We are really happy Matthew got an excellent teacher and a couple of his buds are in his class! Matthew was not looking forward to school starting. Poor bubba always has so much homework todo! Would you look at the stack of books? On a side note.. teacher.. you gotta learn to spell your students name correctly. heehee.
Awe... Big Brother wanted to see where lil Brothers class was and where he sat ♥
Emmy is in Luke's class! how awesome is that! Such cuties! I find it hilarious the lil girl with the big boo boo face next to Emmy :) Such a sad face :( but so cute!
Bye MoMMY and DaDDy!! Lukes teacher Mrs. Roeter. She is so sweet and pretty. She is new to the school. She is from Seattle Washington. She seems pretty awesome .. very blessed to have great teachers. Luke's checking out the sad lil girl.
Well.. Im sitting here in peace and quiet as I post this. I was really stressing the change to come when my boys would be in school and no more kids at home. During the day that is. Ididn't like the way i felt and I certainly don't do well knowing change is going to occur. I like things to stay the way they are and two.. i was scared that i just wasn't gonna feel like a mommy any more. Today has come and im doing just fine :) not that it matters but in a way it felt like a mid life crisis hahaa! Im still needed .. now its just for homework and food! lol! It was really sad seeing all the moms crying out side the classroom as we were leaving. Whether it be there first or last kiddo in Kindergarten they were very upset. Does it make me a bad mom for not crying? I wasn't happy at all i can tell you that much... but just wasnt emotional enough to cry I guess. Life goes on. I think I did enough stressing the past couple of weeks to realize it's all good and I will be just fine. Infact as I was in bed I prayed and asked the Lord to help me. I was not looking forward to today at all.. and you know what the Lord immediatly showed me?
Jeremiah 29:11-14
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord"
Is that just perfect or what? I didn't just go flipping through my Bible hoping to come across something that would comfort me. No.. I opened my Bible asking the Lord to show me what I needed to hear... and this is what I opened my Bible to. I have it underlined in my Bible and I saw that immediately and it spoke to me. That is what I call Rhema. :) I just love how God works and how his timing is just perfect for what we need in our lives at those very moments. I love God so much. He is what made today easier for me. I don't believe in Coincidence.. i believe in Rhema.... the power of the Holy Spirit showing you and taking immediate action for in that very moment in time of life and making it KNOWN to you. And recognizing it. I recognized it alright. God is soo soo good :) Well... I'll be seeing my boys at the bus stop later today :) so excited!
Oh and one more exciting thing.... this means the hubby and I have lots of ALONE time ♥ heeehee! That is if Justin gets up before noon! hahahha!
Ok.. so i went to see Luke on his lunch break to see how he was doing. He didn't want to sit with me. He wanted to stay with his class next to Emmy at the lunch table :) lol! I dunno what to think of that! My baby doesn't need his momma :( after lunch.. he took off and ran around playing with Emmy. So I watched :) He did so good. Here he is...
my big bus rider :) he loved it!
Great day for Luke! Matt on the under hand.. not so good. He loved summer a little too much and first thing he asked of me when we met him at the bus stop was "MoM, can I be home schooled?" lol!! So I ask why he doesn't like school and.. he's dreading the homework. He's just a normal lil boy not looking forward to school :) Unfortunately he was so bummed he didn't play at lunch or recess. Poor kiddo! Bummer doing things you hate to do. He seems to be cheering up now though that he is home :) i hope its not to bad of a year.
